"Stingy … Scrooge … Stingy … No wonder his name is Dollar," the girl said, as she walked.
Although Han Sen agreed to help her kill the silver sheep, he also took a dagger from the girl that went with the Purple Moon Sword. The two daggers were a set, one long and one short.
Han Sen was happy with the dagger. He didn't have time to compare them, but he could tell that they were much tougher than the Rhino Horn Dagger.
The girl said her name was Hai 'er, and she had come from the sea. Aside from that, she didn't say anything else. Han Sen didn't ask.
He was only going to help her kill a xenogeneic, and then they'd go their separate ways. There was no need for him to ask.
Hai 'er led the way, but she didn't seem to be familiar with the place. After a while, they hadn't found a single xenogeneic, let alone a Silver Sheep.
"Wait."
Han Sen stopped Hai 'er. He slowed down and climbed up a small rock.
Looking down from the top of the small mountain, Han Sen saw a group of creatures hunting a xenogeneic on the mountain path.
It was a Six-armed Bear. Its six paws seemed to be forged from black iron, and there were black flames flickering on them. With one slap, a rock as tall as a person was directly smashed into pieces. The black flames burned on the rock, and its power was extremely terrifying.
That power was not something a Baron xenogeneic should possess. It was most likely a Viscount xenogeneic.
Most of the creatures attacking the six-armed bear were Kate, but some were from other races. Ten of them were Nobles, and the rest of the soldiers were well-trained. Their teamwork was good, too.
One of the Nobles wielded a knife. His knife glowed with a green light. With the help of the other Nobles and soldiers, they were able to leave a mark on the six-armed bear.
The fight was coming to an end, and not long after, the six-armed bear was beheaded by the knife-wielding Noble.
The hunting team had lost a lot of people, but they were still able to kill a Viscount xenogeneic. It was a good haul.
"Come out?" The sword-wielding nobleman suddenly stared in the direction of Little Rock Mountain, coldly shouting with a gloomy expression.
Han Sen looked at Hai 'er and walked forward. Hai' er had accidentally dropped a rock, and that was how the Noble had noticed them.
"We are just passing by. We mean you no harm," Han Sen said to the knife-wielding Noble as he stood atop the mountain.
That person was clearly a Viscount, and his team was strong. That meant he had a powerful background. Han Sen was there to hunt xenogeneics, so there was no need to complicate things further. It would be best if he could explain himself.
The nobleman with the sword was about to say something, but his expression suddenly changed. He said to Han Sen, "We didn't know you were working here. We will leave now. Please don't blame us."
After saying that, he immediately led the troops to retreat quickly. In the blink of an eye, the group of people disappeared without a trace. They even left behind the corpse of the Six-armed Bear that they had just killed.
Han Sen frowned. He looked at Hai 'er. Han Sen didn't think he had the authority to do something like that. Aside from himself, there was only Hai' er who could do something like that.
Hai 'er ran over to the Six-armed Bear's body and cut off the paws. She put them in her pocket without hesitation.
Han Sen frowned, and he kept walking. Things were getting weirder and weirder. Whenever they saw Hai 'er, they ran away. It was as if they had seen a ghost. They didn't even want their prey.
Some of the people who didn't have any prey left behind xenogeneic materials before they left. It made Han Sen feel as if they were being robbed.
But Hai 'er hadn't said a single word. If that was the way to rob someone, then it would have been a very easy job.
"Who is this Hai 'er?" Han Sen frowned. He didn't think things were going well, and it seemed as if he had just gotten himself into trouble.
They didn't encounter any xenogeneics along the way, but Hai 'er's haul was impressive. Aside from the Viscount Six-armed Bear, she also managed to collect many Baron xenogeneic materials.
"Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!"
Han Sen was confused, but he kept following Hai 'er. Suddenly, he heard the sound of a bell.
When Hai 'er heard the bell, her face changed. She grabbed Han Sen's arm and said, "We went the wrong way. Not this way. Go that way."
After that, Hai 'er pulled Han Sen in the opposite direction of the bell. But not long after, they heard the bell again.
Hai 'er pulled Han Sen in a different direction a few times, but every time they walked, they heard the bell ring again.
Hai 'er wanted to change directions again, but Han Sen saw that the bell was getting closer. He could see a shadow coming their way.
It was a man riding an elephant. He was clad in silver armor. He didn't look very handsome, but he had a unique presence. It was as if he didn't care about anything in the world.
The man had a pair of black horns. Aside from that, he looked like a human. His skin was white, and if he wasn't wearing armor, he would have looked like a scholar.
"When did the Pirates learn to take a detour?"
The man rode the elephant as he approached. He looked at Hai 'er and Han Sen with a smile.
"What detours? I am looking for the Silver Sheep. What does that have to do with you?"
Hai 'er lifted her lips. She looked like she didn't care about the man, but her eyes betrayed her.
The man smiled and said, "Abandoned Pirate made a promise that the Pirates wouldn't enter the Dan Xuan system for a thousand years. It has only been seven hundred years, and they've already broken their promise. Are they really that untrustworthy?"
"I am me. I have nothing to do with the Pirates. Don't talk nonsense," Hai 'er said angrily.
"If you weren't a Pirate, you wouldn't have been able to survive this long. And you wouldn't have received so many benefits," the man said coldly.
"So what if I broke my promise?
Are you going to kill me?
Do you have the guts to do that? "Hai 'er was angry, and she didn't want to be reasonable. She pouted.
The man laughed and said, "You are a higher race of the Pirates. I won't kill you, but I will teach you a lesson."
After that, the man fell silent. He looked at Han Sen and said, "If you broke your promise and came here, then I will let your guard die. That will be the punishment."
Han Sen didn't understand the first half, but he understood the second half. He said, "I have nothing to do with her. I'm not a Pirate. If you want to punish me, punish me on her own."
Hai 'er raised her voice and said, "He is just a helper I hired. He has nothing to do with the Pirates. If you have a problem, then come at me."
The man didn't seem to hear what they were saying, though. "Leave your life or his. You can choose."
After that, the man ignored Han Sen and Hai 'er. He rode the elephant away and disappeared into the mountains. Only the tinkling of the bells remained.
